  To whom it may concern.
  
  I am seeking advice about how to get my same sex spouse to travel with me to China.
  
  I have been offered a job in China and will be receiving a Z visa. Initially I was informed that my same sex spouse could apply for an S1 visa to accompany me in China.
  
  After sending my documents to the Chinese embassy, i was contacted and informed that my marriage certificate can not be authenticated due to the fact that we are same sex.
  
  I would like to know if my spouse can still receive a S1 visa. If not, then what visa can she apply for?
  
  I will be teaching in Zengcheng.

• I'm afraid your spouse cannot apply for S type. She can try to apply for multiple entries tourist L type to stay with you in mainland China. This is for your reference.
