Question about China Visa

  How do I apply for work permit for china in third country where have residency

  I have Canadian passport and I work in Vietnam now! The company in Shanghai likes to hire me and I like to apply for working visa for China in Hanoi now in Covid situation ! During pandemic the things have changed so nobody is able to tell me what exactly do I need to do .. what kind of paper I need to submit and for what kind of visa should I apply so the embassy will grant me entrance to China together with my husband .. and that visa later can be changed to working visa .. one HR told me to
  Apply for business visa but embassy in Hanoi might not approve that type of visa ( it is not urgent ) and let me and my husband enter with me too ..information are really confusing .. pls help
