Would it be possible to head to the Dashiguan and get my Z-visa processed without the jiuyezheng?
Hi,
I've been working in China for the last 8 years. Currently in Shanghai but need to exit the country as my visa is about to run out - my company's HR department failed to process my visa renewal as they were still on holiday.
Anyway, I'm currently waiting for my jiuyezheng to be renewed, the problem is I can only get it on the 10th - and my scheduled flight out is on the 8th!
Would it be possible to head to the dashiguan and get my Z-visa processed without the jiuyezheng - but with a letter from my company stating that it will be sent in after renewal. I am of course willing to leave my passport with the dashiguan until such time that I can submit my jiuyezheng.
Also, what is the processing fee for the Z-jianzheng? Overnight.

- i think you can try to tell your situation to the Embassy.
the fee for Z-visa is USD 30 and an additional USD 30 if you want to get it overnight.Answered by Ken | Nov. 02, 2010 20:50
