  What will the temperature like in Hongkong in Jan?

  Due to visit HK on the 30th Dec - 6th Jan, what will the temp be like at that time and what kind of clothes will I need for going about. Will we have to book to eat out on the 31st Jan and will their be street food on that night? Also what will be open on Jan1st?

• the temp. is usually around 13 - 18 C, and a sweater and a coat will do. but sometimes it will get very cold. my suggestion is you check the weather on this very page three days before you go.
  if you want to eat out on 31st Dec., i think you need to book.
  there will be street food on that night and also many people on street :)
  what do you mean by "what will be open on Jan 1st" ? shops? restaurants? or attractions?

  I meant is Jan 1st a holiday in HK or is it a normal day for travelling around and visiting attractions, tours etc
