  Do you know the jade statuette market in Shanghai?

  I will be in Shanghai at the end of March and would like to buy an expensive jade statuette. What stores can I go to where the qualit and price will be honest. Should I bargain or are there plaes where the quality and price are right?

• If you do not know jade very well, suggest you but it in honored jewelry stores or large shopping malls. The City God Temple (Chenghuang Miao) area and Laojiekou in Henan Nan Lu, however, jade objects there are not that good. There are jade shops in the antique market in Xizang Lu and Liuhe Lu. In the Shui Jing Jie, a street near to Shanghai Classical Hotel, there are some fine jade stores offering quality jade. You can ask the seller if there are discount or can it be cheaper.
