Will single entry L visas work for visiting both Shanghai and Hong Kong?
Hi, my boyfriend and I are planning a trip to China starting first in Shanghai then going to Hong Kong. We both have American passports and we have obtained single entry L visas. Will this type of visa work for visiting both Shanghai and Hong Kong, or should we have gotten the multiple entry visa?

- usually, if you go to both mainland China and HK, you need to obtain two visas, one for mainland China and the other one for HK, but American passport holders are exempt from HK visa for 90 days, so you don't need to apply the HK visa, and your single entry L visas are enough.Answered by JK (CN) | Nov. 30, 2010 18:47
