  If i want to call a Chinese friend, can i dail the number directly?

  if i want to call a Chinese friend, can i dail the number directly? or do i have to put the area code in front of his number?

• if his number is a cell-phone number, you only need to put +86 in front of his number;
  if it is a fixed phone in his home, you should put +86 first and then the area code of his city, for exemple, if he lives in Beijing, your should dail, +86 010 his number
