Question about Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport

do I need to apply for a China Visa for the transfer from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport to Pudong Airport?
Hello
I will be arriving at Hongqiao airport at 4.10pm and have to catch a connecting flight at 8pm from Pudong Airport. From what I've read here, catching the train sounds like the fastest option however I was hoping someone can tell me:
1: do I need to apply for a China Visa as I will be checking out of the airport to get to another one although I'm really only transiting for 4 hours
2: how long does it take to clear custom and collect baggages at the airport
3: will I be able to make it to Pudong airport in time for checking in to my next flight.
Many thanks in advanceAsked by emillia (Australia) | Feb. 06, 2011 01:42Answer Question

- 1. Visas are not required of Australian citizens who transit through Pudong Airport or Hongqiao Airport of Shanghai, provided they hold valid passports, visas for the onward countries, final destination tickets and have booked seats, and stay in Shanghai for less than 48 hours.
2. about 30 minutes.
3. Yes, you have enough time to make the transfer from Hongqiao to pudong.Answered by Daniel | Feb. 06, 2011 19:32
