Are we required to get a Chinese transit Visa at Beijing and Guangzhou airport?
Hi there
My husband and I are traveling to Europe via Southern China airline on 20 July 2011 and are transiting through Baiyun Airport Guangzhou China for 4 hours Then Beijing Capital Airport, Beijing China for 1 hour 30 minutes.
We return back to Australia on 8 August 2011 and will be transiting through the same airports again, Beijing 1 hour 50 mins, and Baiyun airport for 6 hours.
We will not be leaving the airport during these times we will just be waiting in the transit lounge for our flights.
We have been told many different stories on weather we require a visa or not due to going through 2 China airports each way.
Are we required to get a Chinese Visa for this trip?
Thank you for your time
Regards

- hi Jessie,
since your stay in China is within 24 hours and for transit, you don't need to apply for the transit visas. but a stay permit is required, which you can get in the airport.Answered by Ruby | Mar. 23, 2011 20:02
