What is the difference between Hetian and Celadon jade?
is it the region it comes from or the strength of the stone or luster of the stone? I recently recieved a 19th century Chinese Hetian jade carved crown cap. What is it? What was it used for. It is curved with a pick for attaching it to some thing (looks like a hair clip almost), it is in great condition. Thanks.

- Hetian jade and Celadon jade are different from luster and texture. You bough a jade crown cap from China? It is just a kind of artwork.Answered by Kevin | Apr. 07, 2011 22:36
