  How can I get Permit for Tibet from Kathmandu?

  I have a group of six person two male & four female,want to go Hongkong from Kathmandu by road and train via Lhasa,Xiang,Beijing,Shanghai, Hongkong then return from Hongkong to Delhi by air.
  if we shall get tourist visa for China from our country,how i can get permit for Tibet from Kathmandu,how many days it will take time & how much the fee ?
  can we go Lhasa by land cruiser,is it possible to go without any tour ?
  how much the cost [rent] of land cruiser with driver and how many hours it will take time ?
  is it safe to go with family by land cruiser ?

• Firstly, you should apply for the Tibet permit via an agent, and then you could purchase air ticket, hiring guide or driver. As I know, there is no direct bus from Kathmandu to Lhasa currently. You should take a cab to arrive at border at Zhangmu city firstly, and then transfer to Lhasa by cab or coach in 10 hours.
