Question about China G Visa (Transit Visa)

  Do I need a transit visa to collect my bags at Urumqi airport, for an onward flight to Kyrgyzstan?

  I am a British citizen living in the Philippines. I wont have a visa for Kyrgyzstan because no Kyrgyz embassy here. I will get Kyrgyz visa on arrival in Bishkek. I will have an e ticket for the onward flight from Urumqi to Bishlek. I only need to collect my bags, then go & check in for the onward flight. Thanks

• hi bear,
  if you stay within the Urumqi airport for no more than 24 hours, you don't need the transit visa.
