Expired Visa Consequinces
My Chinese visa was expired for 89 days , so i was fined ,payed everything - so they gave me visa with " * " mark (10 days to leave the country) . Also in the police station they told me that i can easily re-aply chinese visa in Hong Kong . Now i've stucked in Hong Kong - because Chinese Embassy refused to give me visa , though i have temporary residence registration (rented apartment) and also on the 10 of July i have a flight back home from Shanghai. Any other travel agencies also refused to help me . Somebody told me that after " * " visa i can't aply chinese visa on the territory of China for 3 months - in any other countries may be . Can somebody tell me more about * visa , What does it mean ?

- if your passport has been marked, it is usually hard for you to get the visa.
i suggest you fly to Shanghai from Hong Kong directly on July 10, and transfer to the flight back home.
if you still want to apply for a China visa, try 3 months later;
if it still does not work, i suggest you apply for a new passport with a new name.Answered by Gina | Jun. 21, 2011 19:41 - "*" My old passport also had this kind of mark.Which says "requested to live china within 10days. It happend when my company and I were preparing d documents for my residence permit...sad to say it didnot workout.The policeman said i am not allowed to work in china within 5 years... This year i got married in my country to a foreigner husband, who are still presently working in China, he wants me to apply for a dependent visa. I am now using his lastname, but my maiden name still appear on my passport.still worried.... There are some questions in the applic form like: have u been in china?etc...Does it help if i will say I am a first timer applicant in China? Answers are highly appreciated. Hi Sugarcake:
the first thing you need to remember is that you have to make sure everything you filled in the form are genuine, so that you have the chance to get the visa.
so do not lie when you fill in the form.Answered by Gina | Jun. 24, 2011 02:29
