  What are the differences between Soft Sleeper and hard Sleeper?

  I'm going to book a train ticket from Beijing to Xian, but I found the prces for soft sleeper and hard sleeper are different. where is diference come from? which one i better?
  since it is usually hard for me to fall into sleep, I prefer a quite place.
