Malaysian Applynig Chinese Visa at Singapore
Hi,
I live in Johor Bahru, Malaysia which is across the border from Singapore. Could I apply for Chinese business visa at Visa Application Service Center in Singapore instead of in Kuala Lumpur (3.5 hours drive away)?
I need to go to China for business immediately after getting the visa, how long it will take to get the Chinese business visa with rush service? Is it possible to get it the same day?
Thanks,

- hi Lee,
If you want to apply your visa in Singapore, you need to provide your resident permit or work permit in Singapore, so you still need to go to the visa service center in Kuala Lumpur.
it is possible to get the visa the same day if you submit all the required documents.Answered by Sherry | Nov. 22, 2011 18:23 - Hi Sherry,
Would it make a different if I am a permanent resident card holder of the US? The situation is I need to go to China for businees urgently and my Malaysian passport will expire in less than 6 months, there is no way for me to obtain China visa in the US because I need to renew my passport in Malaysia first. Renewing my Malaysian passport in the US will take 4 - 6 months. As a result, I need to travel back to Johor Bahru, Malaysia where I live, renew my Malaysian passport first, then try to obtain China visa before going to China, all in one trip. So, if I can prove that I have resident permit and work permit in the US, could I apply for China visa in Singapore?
Thanks,

you can not apply the visa in Singapore. you have to renew your passport first and apply the Chinese visa in your country.Answered by Sherry | Nov. 23, 2011 17:38
