  how can I get to Pingyao from Taiyuan?

  I'm planing to go to the Pingyao Ancient Town in mid Jan., 2012. What is the best transportation from Taiyuan?
  what if i rent a car with other visitors? how much is the cost?

• trains are very convenient, and it takes only 1.5 hours from Taiyuan to Pingyao by train, and the ticket is CNT 7 - 17.
  if you rent a car, the cost will be around CNY 300 - 400, because it is during the Spring Festival.
