- although they are depicted as isolationists in the beginning of their reign, they reached more accomplishments and goals than any other civilization in their time. In my world history class, we learned about the Ming dynasty and they did have a lot of achievements - they are also considered to reach N. America first (before Columbus) but that is controversial due to the lack of records. - However, they perfected the arts of porcelain and spices, when they first traveled all around the Indian and Pacific Oceans, they also found new ways of literature, science, medicine and trading. And when they had been on this 'expedition' that had taken over 4 years, they had one of the most technological advanced ships of all time. (it was at least 4 times the size of Columbus' ships) however, all these records were burned and destroyed by dynasty Confucian leaders because they felt it should not be incorporated into their way of Confucian lifestyles. Hopefully, this answers your question! :)

- Probably because it really didn't do anything good and everybody just thinks the things they did were good and they actually just caused the dynasty to fall and nobody cared that it did, so they just left it alone & w/o the crops that people had to care about the dynasty fell.
