  Alcohol 50% Duty

  Upon entering China with alcohol levels above the limit, a 50% tax is levied. How is the dollar value of the liquor determined? Is there a published dollar value that is assigned to each liquor type and quantity?

• no exact published dollar value, the regulation is that you will be taxed for the alcohol (alcohol content above 12 degrees) exceeding 1,500 ml.
