Question about Guangzhou

  24H free visa to go to the guangzhou airport hotel

  Hello,
  I have a 7h layover at the Guangzhou airport on my way to Europe from Australia. I plan to spend this time at the airport hotel (Pullman). It seems I do not need a transit visa but that immigration officer will provide me with a free 24h visa that will allow me to go to the airport. How does it work ?

• yes, you're right. you don't need a transit visa, even if you want to spend the 7 hours in the hotel.
  you will get the free 24h permit when you get through the immigration control by showing your air ticket.
