transit visa in Shanghai
My friend lands in Shanghai and has to exit the airport for a couple of hours to get her luggage, then check in again to fly back to France.
We heard a lot of different stuff about the transit visa, and the 48hours permission with a French passeport.
How did it go for you? Did you actually manage to pass the customs without any visa application?
Some people told us that sometimes the customs make a fuss about it and won't let you exit the airport. That's what we are trying to avoid by all means.
Thanks for your reply!

- don't worry Jean,
according to the Exit and Entry Regulation of China, French passport holders are allowed to stay in Shanghai airport for 48 hours for transit.
i don't think there will be any problem if your friend have valid travel documents, like her passport, air ticket back to France.Answered by July | Dec. 03, 2012 19:47
