Question about Visa Refusal

F visa denied but got a recent offer to work in China, can I still get Z visa soon?
I am a Filipina and I recently got an offer to work as a singer of the band for an international 5 star hotel in Shenzhen. It is their first time to hire performers, but not the first time to hire foreigners. To date, they are still processing our work permit and other documents related to hiring us. In order to get to know the real status of the work permit and I was really being impatient already because it has been two months since my agent and the hotel signed the contract, I decided to plan a visit to China and to get an F Visa. Aside from that, my cousin's company has asked me to visit the factory of her supplier so I have a legitimate business purpose to visit China as soon as possible. Unfortunately, it was denied because of no apparent reason, the consul just told that I was denied already before which is not the case. I had several Chinese visas, working visa/temporary residence visa, 2 L visa I got in the Philippines and one L Visa extension I got in China, none of the application got rejection, only now. The question is, if I will be able to get all the requirements needed for the Z visa, can I still apply here in the Philippines soon at the Chinese Consulate in spite of the visa denial now or do I still have to wait for months before I can apply for the Z visa in the Philippines. Is it possible for us Filipinos to apply Z visa in Hongkong?

- yes, you can apply the work visa through the Chinese embassy in the Philippines as long as you get all the required documents.
it is also possible to apply the visa in Hong Kong, but the problem is that you will need a new Invitation letter or Z visa notice from Provincial Foreign Expert's Bureau (aka Ministry of Foreign Affairs), which must be addressed to the consulate in Hong Kong. you can only apply at the consulate/embassy to which this letter is addressed.Answered by Nancy | Jun. 05, 2013 21:20
