Question about China Visa

  Can I apply for Chinese Visa from spain if I am non-spanish resident?

  I am a student in Spain with a valid NIE card. I have to go to Beijing for 5 days to attend an international conference. Can I apply for Chinese Visa from Barcelona if I have never been to China before or do I have to use Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Madrid for this purpose?

• Thank you Tony for your reply. I went Chinese Consulate in Barcelona. The lady told me that I cannot apply for Chinese visa from Spain. I have to go back to my country and apply from there. Even though I have a NIE,for the first time visit to China,I have to go to my country.
