- yes, you can. You can apply a Family Reunion visa (Q type)
you need to provide your valid passport, completely filled out visa application form, a recently taken passport-size photo, the residence permit or visa in Japan, the copy of your marriage certificate, copy of your wife's Chinese ID, and an invitation letter from your wife which should include: a. Information on the applicant (full name, gender, date of birth, etc.)
b. Information on the visit ( purpose of visit, intended arrival date, place(s) of intended residence, intended duration of residence, arrival and departure dates, relation of the applicant to the inviting entity or individual, and financial source for expenditures)
c. Information on the inviting individual (name, contact number, address, official stamp, signature of the inviting individual, etc.)
within 30 days of your entry into China with this Q visa, you should change it into a temporary Residence Permit which allows you stay for up to 5 years, and unlimited exits and re-entries.Answered by Penny | Nov. 14, 2013 20:48
