Question about China Customs Declarations

  5,000 USD per person or per family?

  Hello, My wife and I will be leaving China in a few weeks. We have more than 5,000 USD to bring out with us. Can my wife and I each carry out 5,000 USD? If not, will declaring the excess amount cause a lot of trouble? It's around 8,000 USD total.

• Yes, each person is allowed to take in no more than 5,000USD, so just take such a sum of money separately with your wife.
