Question about Guangzhou

  15 hour layover in Guangzhou

  Hello,
  
  Traveling to Thailand from NYC next month (August) and we do have a 15 hour layover in Guangzhou , we have intended to exit the airport to do some sightseeing . We have a booked a hotel nearby for those hours to go sightseeing and to head back to the airport. Need to know if we need a G visa for that layover since we are exiting the airport.
  
  All travelers have US passports.

• You don't need a G visa, Jane. For your 15 hours' stay, it is easy to apply for a stay permit at the airport. It is very easy! Don't worry.
