Flying from Los Angeles to Japan with a stop in Shanghai
I am from Ecuador and reside in the USA. I am flying from Los Angeles to Tokyo, and have a 20-hour stop in Shanghai. Upon entry in Shanghai, can I ask for a transit visa and leave the airport? What type is that? What are the countries that can apply for this? Thank you.

- Dear Javier, no visa is needed for you. Passport holders of any nationalities are eligible to the 24h visa-free policy. Just apply for a stay permit upon landing, and you can leave the airport. :)Answered by Mia (IT) | Apr. 24, 2016 21:02
