Chinese L visa refusal

I want my girlfriend to come over to China for 1 week next month. She has a letter of invitation but I was emailed by the CVASC in London stating that in the letter she should provide "Your source of financial support during your stay in China".

Does this require a document like a bank statement? Also if she is stating that she is the source of financial support (apart from accommodation costs) should we be worried if she is in her overdraft? If so would you recommend that we say someone else would be her source of financial for example, her mother?

Yes, she may provide some documents, like certificate of employment, BIR-stamped income tax return form, or salary slip. If she is in overdraft, she can say someone else would be her source of financial support. Good luck!
