Visa application for British citizens
My wife and I are British citizens living most of the year in Roquetas, Spain. (We have British passports and Spanish NIE numbers).
We want to visit our son in China in September (1st to 25th) but are also travelling in the meantime.
Can we apply by post to Madrid for Chinese visas? Do we have to send our passports? How long before we get them back?
If I go to Madrid in person with our 2 passports can I get visas the same day or the next day?
Thank you for your help.Asked by Paul Evans (Spain) | Jul. 04, 2017 05:19Answer Question

- Hi, Paul. You may just apply for a L-type according to your situation. It is valid for 30 days generally. You need to send both your passports and the copies to the embassy, and it usually takes around 10 workdays to get the visa and your passports back. If you go in person, you still need to wait for 5 workdays at most to get it.Answered by Bradley (Australia) | Jul. 05, 2017 01:57
