  What is the currency used in Xi'an?

  My son is visiting Xi'an in a couple of weeks, I want to get a little currency for him prior to his trip. Can you tell me what is the currency used in Xi'an? Is the City and surrounding areas safe for a young man to travel on his own? Anything he should be particularly careful of? He is 18.

• In the mainland of China, the currency we used is Ren Min Bi. Xian is a very safe city. The public security is fine.But your son is not familiar with this city. So, he'd better get around in the daytime. Additionally, keep the wallet and the other valuable things safe. Watch out pickpockets.
