Can I get a Tibet Travel pass if without the valid Chinese entry visa?
I am living in Singapore. I will travel to China in August and enter China on an APEC business travel card (no separate visa required), endorsed for china.
I would like to visit Tibet while in China and I know I must apply for a Tibet Travel pass. However my travel agent says I must have a valid Chinese entry Visa (which I do not have) to apply for a Tibet Travel pass.
Please advise how I can overcome this problem.Asked by Peterson (Australia) | Mar. 08, 2011 03:26Answer Question

- You mean your APEC business travel card can't be used as the China entry visa to apply for the Tibet entry permit? It do have strict restrictions to travel Tibet, then you can apply for a China tourist visa.Answered by Sunny | Mar. 08, 2011 20:16
- Thank you Sunny for your reply. I would however like to confirm that the information from the Travel agent is correct and that the agent has said this because he is not familiar with the APEC card.Answered by Peterson | Mar. 09, 2011 03:35
- Actually, you can get the final answer from the China embassy in your country.Answered by sunny | Mar. 10, 2011 03:38
