  Is it safe hire local China tour guide in Guilin?

  If there is no tour guide follow us to Guilin, is it safe hire local china tour guide? how's the weather now during April? Is Guilin a remote area compare with city? Are the natives there friendly towards foreigners? is it hygenic to use the public toilets? How far from nan ning to guilin?Awaiting for your reply soonest! Thank you:)

• it is safe if the guide you hire is from a reliable travel agency.
  the climate is mild in April, and there is light rain sometimes.
  it is not a remote area, but a beautiful city with convenient transportation and accommodation.
  the natives are very friendly, especial to foreigners.
  most of the public toilets are Ok in the city, but some are not that "nice".
  it takes about 1 hours from Nanjing to Guilin by train.
  if this is your first time to Guilin, i suggest you go with a tour group, which may make your trip easier and more smooth.

• Winter clothes are not necessary. T-shirts, jeans and a thin coat will do.
  there will be stopover. there are altogether 4 flights, the first stops at Kunming for 6 hours, the second stops at Shanghai for 4 hours, the third stops at Kunming for 15 hours, and the last one stops at Shanghai for 12 hours.
  tips: it is likely to rain during your stay in Guilin, so an umbrella will be useful. Guilin Rice Noodles are famous local snacks, you may have a taste.
