Can I obtain residence visa in China?
I am married to Chinese woman for nearly 1 year. We live in Nanning in an apartment we rent together. I travel back and forth from China to USA every 4 - 6 weeks on business. The most I am gone from China is 2 months when in USA. While in China I provide business consulting services to various electronic and aerospace manufacturing companies in Suzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing and Chengdu to improve their manufacturing processes. The sercvices I provide are ISO 9001 consulting. I have been doing this in China since 2005, though began living in China 18 months ago. I have an F visa. Can I obtain residence visa.

- i don't think it is possible.
if you want to get the Chinese residence visa, you have to live in China for at least five years and at least 9 month for each year.
China is not an immigration country, so it is very hard to get a residence visa even if you meet the above requirements.
as for your situation, you can only get a residence permit for at most 2 years.Answered by Li Mei | May. 01, 2011 21:25
