How long will you stop in Beijing? Will you go out of the airport?

If transferring from my Manila-Beijing plane to the Beijing-Ulanbaatar plane will not require going out of the airport then we will NOT go out of the airport. So do we still need a transit visa? This question also applies when I come back from Mongolia on the way home to Manila via Beijing. Thank you.

haven't really finalized and confirmed yet with the airlines but it should not be more than 8 hours in in the airport for the connecting flight
