Question about China D Visa (Residence Visa)
-
What are the mandatory rules after a D - Residence Visa is obtained?
Hi,
I'd appreciate it very much if someone could shed light on my questions below:
.
1. What are the mandatory rules AFTER a Residence Visa is obtained?
In particular, I'd like to know if the applicant is restricted to stay in China for certain length of time per year. Can I stay and go as I please? i.e. I may need to work there for a couple months and come back to the US for several months.
2. Can the applicant work once the D visa is granted?
The Official links would be very helpful if possible. Thanks much.Asked by Sky (USA) | Sep. 25, 2012 13:48Answer Question

- 1. if the D visa is obtained, you need to go to the public security bureau in the city you live to apply a permit of permanent residence which allows you to stay in China. and there is not restriction on the lenght of time per year you stay and you can go as you please.
2. yes, applicant can work in China.
the Chinese D visa is not easy to get, if you want to work in China, i suggest you find a job and then apply a work visa.Answered by Kate | Sep. 25, 2012 21:06
