Question about China Embassy in Philippines

What are the requirements for an s2 visa?
I am a Z visa holder and had been working in China for almost 4 years now. I want my husband to visit me here and he plans to stay for less than 6 months. I want to know the requirements of an S2 Visa. Or is it possible that he can apply for an L visa then just convert it to an S2 visa once he's already in China? THANK YOU.

- Annie, I would not suggest him apply for the L type first and then convert it into an S2 type when in China. This is not a good choice. He had better apply for the S2 type directly at the Chinese embassy in the Philippines. The required documents are his passport, a photocopy of the passport’s data page, a filled-out application form attached with his recently-taken color bare-headed photo, an invitation letter from you, the original and photocopy of your marriage book, as well as a photocopy of your passport. If it’s the first time for him to come, a financial standing proof is also required.Answered by Grace (India) | May. 06, 2015 05:22
