Question about China G Visa (Transit Visa)

  Will I be able go outside of the Hongkong airport with transit visa?

  Hi I will be travelling from Adelaide to Colombo via Hong Kong and there are suppose to be a 18 hour transit time. There fore i assume that i have to get a G visa.
  
  But what i want to know is from that transit visa will i be able go out side of the airport?
  
  Also since I be travelling on a Sri Lankan passport what is the processes from applying HK visa from Adelaide?

• Actually, Australian passport holders are exempt from visa to Hong Kong for 90 days, so you don't have to apply for any visa for your layover in Hong Kong.
